Amanda N. Hegyes first joined Horing Welikson Rosen & Digrugilliers, P.C. as an associate in December, 2016. She routinely appears in the New York State Civil Court, New York County and Queens County, to handle housing litigation proceedings, Amanda is also involved in the firm’s Administrative Law Department and has been successful in aiding clients before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), including rent overcharge proceedings and building-wide service complaints. Amanda is also involved in the preparation of Petitions for Administrative Review (PAR) as well as Article 78 Petitions filed with the State Supreme Court.

Amanda earned her JD from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in May 2016, where she was accepted as a Dean’s List Scholarship Student. Amanda was a recipient of the school’s Public Service Award, having completed over 300 hours of pro bono work as a Student Attorney in the Disaster Recovery Clinic, where she assisted members of the community in their legal proceedings stemming from Superstorm Sandy. Amanda was the Managing Editor of Staff of the Hofstra Law Journal of International Business of Law and a member of the Dean’s List. Prior to attending Hofstra Law School, Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree and Paralegal Certificate from Molloy College in 2013, where she was a member of the Dean’s List and Salutatorian of the Criminal Justice Department.
