Bio

Jaime Ezratty joined Horing Welikson Rosen & Digrugilliers, P.C. as a Member in 2018. He began his career with the New York firm of Reid & Priest, where he practiced before the New York State and Federal courts, and was a founding Member of Ezratty, Ezratty & Levine, LLC.  Jaime has 25 years of experience specializing in real estate, landlord-tenant law and related litigation.

Jaime is the supervising Member of the firm’s Real Estate Transactions Department, handling all facets of residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as representing lending institutions.  In addition, Jaime handles landlord-tenant litigation matters, including conducting trials, depositions and engaging in extensive motion practice. Jaime represents a number of cooperative boards, is counsel for the Rockville Centre Housing Authority and Special Trial Counsel for the Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority.

Jaime is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Real Property Section on Landlord-Tenant Practice, where he previously served as a program coordinator and edited and revised the NYS Bar Association manual on landlord-tenant law. He is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors, and as both the Chair and Vice Chair of the District Court Committee and the Real Property Law Committee. Additionally, Jaime implemented and organized the Nassau County Landlord-Tenant Mediation program, which is currently operational in the District Court of the State of New York, County of Nassau.

Jaime currently sits on various charitable and professional boards of directors, including the Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Centre Board of Directors, and the Nassau Academy of Law Advisory Board, as well as the legal education branch of the Nassau County Bar Association, where he serves as Dean. He has lectured and participated in numerous seminars and panels regarding various aspects of real estate and housing law. Jaime is also a past president of the Brandeis University Alumni Association, Long Island Chapter.

Jaime received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, where he graduated with honors.
