Bio

Renee joined the firm as Member in 2016 and brings with her over thirty years’ experience in commercial and residential real estate litigation in the Civil and Supreme Courts of the State of New York. Renee has extensive experience in appellate practice, in addition to representing numerous clients in real estate and business transactions. She has successfully represented litigants in landlord-tenant summary proceedings, contract disputes and declaratory judgment actions. She has prevailed in her defense of landlords before the New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York City Commission on Human Rights. Renee is the supervising member of the firm’s Manhattan Real Estate Litigation group.

Renee began her career in a general litigation practice where, within five years, she was made partner in charge of the firm’s real estate litigation and appeals. In addition, she handled many of that firm’s real estate and business transactions as well as civil litigation matters.

In 2003, Renee formed her own boutique law firm where she continued to specialize in real estate litigation, appellate practice and Supreme Court commercial litigation.

Renee has lectured for the Rent Stabilization Association (RSA) on issues affecting owners. She has also conducted seminars on the Rent Stabilization Law, specifically the changes resulting from the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019, and source of income discrimination. She has been invited to lecture before various owner organization functions on the intricacies of the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 as it impacts both rent regulated properties and the manner in which landlord and tenant law is practiced before the Civil Court.

Renee is a member of the NYS Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where she sat on the Housing Court Committee for two terms. She is also the co-chairperson of the Landlord-Tenant Section of the Queens County Bar Association.

Renee received her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Queens College.
